Guest writer, Ken Lohento, is the Senior ICT for Agriculture Programme Coordinator at the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA). The CTA was established under the Lomé Convention between the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States and EU member states. Lohento, explains how blockchain could unlock new markets for Caribbean farmers.

Si de nombreux pays africains ont élaboré des stratégies nationales d’e-gouvernance, d’e-santé et d’e-enseignement, la plupart ne disposent d’aucune stratégie d’e-agriculture. À l’exception de la Côte d’Ivoire, qui vient d’ouvrir ce chantier.

Il ressort de la plupart des débats politiques nationaux et internationaux que les TIC sont le meilleur moyen de dynamiser la croissance économique.
